When I found this Reader’s Digest article, I was laughing out loud while reading. I just so can relate, I guess. I’ve always been convinced that the osteoarthritis symptoms are brought about by stress, mostly and of course, on top of not enough mobility these days.
The said article is recommending, from stretching like a cat to letting things go — in order to have a better quality of life despite arthritis. The tips are general relief for tensed body, but is good for arthritis as well.

First, my modem almost went kaput. Then the data network went down the whole weekend. After which, bills needed to be paid pronto. I didn’t want to ruin my weekend and so I procrastinated!
Only to find out later that my inbox is clogged and that I am way behind my blogging schedule.
Please forgive me.

Greetings .. Gloria is away this week, and will resume posting on February 4, 2008. In the meantime, please enjoy this article about Ankle Arthritis. // HART
There are different types of arthritis but the most common, osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease that gradually reduces the cartilage in joints. With the cartilage the bones in the joint rake together and causes pain in addition to the prospect of bone damage. While arthritis can affect many joints, ankle arthritis is one of the most painful and the ankle and foot consist of 28 bones and about 30 joints, any one of which can lead to trouble walking due to the pain.
While arthritis can affect any of the joints, the most common is where the end of the shin bone rests on the top of the ankle bone. When a person is suffering ankle arthritis, their entire weight is placed on this bone and if the cartilage is worn thin or has been removed through disease, walking will be painful, if not impossible. Ankle arthritis can also affect the heel bone, the middle bone or arch as well as the first joints of the toes. With the body’s weight distributed on these joints, there is bound to be pain regardless of which joint is affected.

…from a long weekend. We needed to get out of town to reconnect with old friends we left behind when we move back down here to Bicol.
And a break from online duties is what a blogger needs from time to time right?
So I had time of from work, from the internet…although I did check my email’s inbox from time to time from my mobile phone. Otherwise, I was internet free for four days — not that there wasn’t internet where I went, I just chose not to get online.
